The Remedy Reunion Tour unites one of the defining ensembles in modern jazz. Kurt Rosenwinkel (guitar), Seamus Blake (saxophone), Aaron Goldberg (piano), Joe Martin (bass), and Kendrick Scott (drums) come together to revisit and renew the music of The Remedy- originally recorded live at the Village Vanguard and released on Word of Mouth records. This album electrified the jazz world with its fearless interplay, soaring melodies, and bold improvisation, capturing a rare moment in time where profound lyricism and unrestrained exploration met and helped shape the sound of a generation. Now, for the first time in nearly two decades, the full band reunites to bring this music back to life on stage, honoring its legacy while opening new paths of exploration.

Kurt Rosenwinkel

Kurt Rosenwinkel has redefined modern jazz guitar with his lyrical voice, daring harmonies, and unmistakable tone. His music crosses genres, blending jazz, rock, ambient, and classical into something entirely his own.

With more than 15 acclaimed albums as a leader - including The Next Step, Deep Song,

and Star of Jupiter - Kurt has inspired generations of musicians worldwide. On stage, from intimate clubs to the world’s largest festivals, Kurt’s performances are unforgettable: emotional, brilliant, and alive with possibility.

Seamus Blake

Seamus Blake is a renowned tenor saxophonist and composer celebrated for his virtuosic playing and innovative contributions to contemporary jazz.

In 2002, Blake won the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Saxophone Competition. Known for his bold improvisations and sophisticated compositions, he has released over a dozen albums as a leader, including *The Call* (1993),

*Way Out Willy* (2007), and *Guardians of the Heart Machine* (2019), showcasing his versatility across post-bop, fusion, and electronic jazz. In June 2026 Seamus will release (Pink Floyd). Past collaborations include artists such as John Scofield, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Bill Stewart and the Mingus Big Band. Blake’s dynamic performances and masterful technique have solidified his reputation as one of the most influential saxophonists of his generation.

Kendrick Scott

Named a “Rising Star” by DownBeat magazine and a “drummer whose time is now” by the New York Times, Kendrick Scott is a premier drummer of his generation. Born in Houston, Texas, Scott grew up in a family of musicians and began playing drums at age 8. He attended Houston’s renowned High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, which has produced an impressive array of musical talent including Jason Moran, Robert Glasper, and Beyoncé. While still attending HSPVA, Scott won several DownBeat Student Awards as well as the Clifford Brown/Stan Getz Award from the International Association of Jazz Educators. He later attended Berklee College of Music on scholarship, majoring in music education. Scott has toured and recorded with a wide array of artists including Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Charles Lloyd, The Crusaders, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Kurt Elling, and Terence Blanchard, appearing on Blanchard’s Grammy-winning Blue Note album A Tale of God’s Will (2007). 

Aaron Goldberg

For over 20 years, pianist Aaron Goldberg has set himself apart as one of the most scintillating performers in jazz, both leading his own trio and collaborating with icons such as Joshua Redman, Wynton Marsalis, and Kurt Rosenwinkel. A Boston native, he began playing jazz in high school before studying at The New School and Harvard, where he balanced academics with an active performing life. After college he moved to New York, forming his long-running trio with Reuben Rogers and Eric Harland and working with artists including Al Foster, Mark Turner, Tom Harrell, and Ravi Coltrane. He later toured worldwide with Joshua Redman and Wynton Marsalis while releasing acclaimed albums such as Turning Point, Worlds, Home, The Now, and At the Edge of the World. Throughout his career Aaron has surrounded himself with kindred spirits in pursuit of the highest expression. He and his bandmates embody an ideal for jazz today: the ability to speak together in a progressive voice, marking both present and future with their creative stamp. Aaron’s joy in communal improvisation continues to inspire audiences around the planet, empowering the human spirit to embrace each moment.

Joe Martin

Joe Martin is one of the most in demand jazz bassists of his generation. Since moving to New York City in 1994, his supportive, lyrical and harmonically inquisitive playing has led to work with Mark Turner, Gilad Hekselman, Chris Potter, and Kurt Rosenwinkel. He appears on over one hundred records as a sideman, notably Turner’s Lathe Of Heaven and Live At The Village Vanguard, Potter’s The Dreamer Is The Dream, and Rosenwinkel’s The Remedy. As a bandleader he has released three albums including Étoilée, Not By Chance, and Passage. His supportive, lyrical and harmonically inquisitive playing continues to define him as one of the leading voices in modern jazz.
