Art Connection Orchestra feat. Tomasz Pruchnicki was founded in 2016. The founder and head of the band is Artur Nowak, a graduate of the Institute of Jazz and Stage Music at the Academy of Music in Poznań.
The band currently operates at the Jelenia Góra Cultural Center in Jelenia Góra,
brings together professional artists who are passionate about swing music. A large part of the band is made up of musicians from the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra.
With its composition and performance character, the band refers to the Golden Era of Swing, when music was composed by Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, and Count Basie, among others, but also has in its repertoire works by Polish composers such as Antoni Kopff and Piotr Marczewski.
Tomasz Pruchnicki - Saxophonist, composer, aranger and teacher.
In 2005 graduates his studies with distinction in saxophone class at Academy of Music in Wroclaw. In 2010 became a PhD of Arts and currently is employed as a Lecturer at The Academy of Music in Wroclaw.
He broadens his interests in improvised music including jazz, avant-garde and electro acoustic.
Also he is interested in physical phenomena in music, cymatics, visualisation, animation, painting, graphics.
