“On one side, there are performers who create what they truly feel and then present it to the audience. On the other side are artists who step onto the stage to play what the audience wants to hear. We belong to the first group.” - Piotr Wojtasik
The collaboration between Anna Maria Jopek and Piotr Wojtasik began in 2019 during a joint performance at the Wodecki Twist Festival in Kraków. Invited by Kasia Wodecka-Stubbs, Piotr Wojtasik created arrangements of songs by Zbigniew Wodecki. In 2020, Anna Maria Jopek invited Wojtasik to join the “Przestworza” project, for which he became the musical director. This remarkable musical collaboration continues to evolve and grow. This time, Anna Maria Jopek will appear as a special guest of Piotr Wojtasik.
Alongside the leaders, the stage will feature outstanding Polish jazz musicians forming the Piotr Wojtasik Quintet: Marcin Kaletka on saxophone, Michał Tokaj on piano, Michał Barański on double bass, and Łukasz Żyta on drums. Anna Maria Jopek and Piotr Wojtasik will take us on an extraordinary jazz journey.

Wojtasik himself received two Fryderyk Awards in the Jazz Musician of the Year category, in 2003 and 2008. He has also repeatedly topped the Jazz Top poll organized by Jazz Forum magazine.
Anna Maria Jopek
Born on December 14, 1970, in Warsaw, Anna Maria Jopek grew up immersed in the world of art as the daughter of soloists from the renowned Mazowsze folk ensemble. The artistic and folk traditions surrounding her childhood deeply shaped her musical sensitivity, and these influences remain strongly present in her work today.
Anna Maria Jopek’s artistic identity is built upon three key musical foundations: a love of folklore inherited from her family home, classical musical education as a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in piano performance, and a deep passion for jazz. These three dimensions, appearing in varying proportions throughout her career, have allowed her to create within a broad stylistic spectrum, ranging from modern pop in her early years, through highly original and stylistically independent compositions, to what is now often described as contemporary eclectic jazz.
A defining feature of all her artistic work is an exceptional attention to quality, both conceptually and in performance, interpretation, and production. This uncompromising artistic standard, combined with constant creative development, has led Anna Maria Jopek to collaborate not only with many of Poland’s most significant artists, but also with world jazz legends such as Pat Metheny, Branford Marsalis, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Makoto Ozone, and Richard Bona.
Every Anna Maria Jopek concert offers audiences a glimpse into her ongoing artistic journey and continuous evolution.
