Horntet is a musical group composed of young but highly experienced and incredibly expressive musicians - graduates of Music Academies in Krakow and Katowice. The band's sound is characterized by 1960s jazz, which, when combined with modern performance techniques of contemporary music and unique energy, gives us a raw, electrifying, and texturally advanced sound. In addition to their own compositions, the repertoire includes arrangements of jazz standards by Horace Silver and Thelonious Monk. The group has been recognized in numerous national and international competitions and festivals. In 2019, they won first place in the Tarnów International Jazz Contest in the Open band category, in 2021, they were recognized as the best band at the XXIII Review of Jazz and Blues Bands in Gdynia, and in 2022, the band became a finalist in the 47th Key to Career competition in Gorzów Wlkp. and won the Grand Prix at the Blue Note Poznan Competition, 24th Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa in Katowice, 58th Jazz nad Odrą in Wrocław, and the Young Crocus Jazz Contest in Jelenia Góra.
